Sometimes just knowing you can do something, like washing rain boots in your dishwasher, can really make your day. And other things, like realizing the all-day closet organization you were planning on wasn’t really that bad, can make all the difference on your mood. I had planned to clean out the spare bedroom closet all week now, and once I finally got down to it, all it took was some trash bags for empty gadget boxes (seriously, DH saves the boxes from everything) and another box marked for Goodwill/Ebay. I found a few older designer purses that could still command at least $20 each on Ebay and DH got 2 copies of Inception, so we can definitely sell one online, especially since it is un-opened.

Now I just need to complete step 2: Project Ebay Posting and Goodwill Going. 🙂 A “For Goodwill” box has been sitting on top of Mac’s kennel in our bedroom for months, and I really thought that since I was so proactive this weekend, I thought this might be the weekend it actually goes to Goodwill. But alas, along with the full months-old recycling tubs in our pantry, the Goodwill Box did not get going where it should have been.

But instead of focusing on what I didn’t do, I need to focus on what I did do:

  • Take out 12 bags of trash
  • Clean the bathrooms
  • Finished my freelance work
  • Dyed my hair
  • Managed to be social with A and L (the bff’s)

So for next week (because I’m all about positivity), here are my goals:

  • Make a Conversation Heart Centerpiece
  • Do all my workouts in my half-marathon training plan
  • Pack for Miami/Plan a ‘To-do’ list of fun things to do
  • Keep my eating in check during my business trip to Miami Wednesday-Saturday

I’m super excited to go to Miami and I’m planning on bringing workout clothes and my iPod for morning/evening workouts while I’m there. Another thing I really want to do is to cook more and take more pictures. I want a DSLR but that won’t be until after we buy a house and possibly after I buy a new car.
