The best part of having your own blog is that you can do whatever features you want, even if those features are of no interest to anyone else. So in that spirit, I’m presenting the first installment of Quotey Quotes, lovingly provided to me by my mom:
Half of the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don’t mean to do harm. But the harm does not interest them. -T. S. Eliot
The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up. -John C. Maxwell
I never see what has been done; I only see what remains to be done. -Buddha
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell. -Buddha
The mind is everything. What you think you become. -Buddha
Can you tell I’ve been complaining to her about my life lately? As in, whining about how difficult it is? She always makes me feel better, even if I’m crying about something dumb. We are both in limbo right now, her house is being sold and I’m, well, in a precarious* spot that will bore you to death if I go on about it here.
Anyway, tomorrow I fly out to California for some R&R with my aunt. Look out Disneyland, you are about to be invaded by 2 ladies with no children who have a propensity** for making fun of others. 🙂 I will try to blog from there but you are better off stalking me on FourSquare or Twitter for updates.
*I like saying precarious because it makes me sound British.
*Another fancy word that is fun to say because it makes you sound smart.
