supermodel you hay house book reviewHay House graciously sent me the book Supermodel YOU by Sarah DeAnna  to read and review through their blogger community, Book Nook. It took me awhile to read through, not because I didn’t like it, but because I am always reading several books at a time and I usually take my time reading different ones at once (I guess because I’m a Gemini and am always looking to multitask).

Supermodel YOU is told in first person by Sarah DeAnna, who is a supermodel and has been photographed all around the world. She gives advice for “the rest of us” on how supermodels manage to keep it all together, while also juggling a busy schedule and needing to look their best.

I really enjoyed the voice and the way the book was written. It made me feel like I was listening to an old friend, instead of a supermodel that I’ve never met. It also helped that Sarah disclosed some of her own insecurities right off the bat so you felt like you could trust her and that you had things in common.

Besides talking about how to look like a supermodel, Sarah also addresses how to face insecurity and low self-esteem that she dealt with in her own life.

Overall, I really liked the book and would recommend it to others. It was a fast read (once I got down to reading it) and I really enjoyed it.
