I’m happy to announce that I’ll be speaking at Pubcon again this year!

I’m covering Video and Podcast Marketing on Thursday with Greg Jarboe, Robert Riggs, and myself presenting.

Because I’ve run the Marketing Nerds podcast for almost the entire last year (the first year of its existence), I feel like I’ve learned so much about podcasting. Video has also been something we are experimenting with with Search Engine Journal’s webinar series and we’ve even tried native video on Facebook.

The description of our Pubcon session is,

Optimizing for multimedia is vastly different from text-based content optimization. This session will look at the special problems and opportunities of optimizing for audio, video, flash, and other embedded content. We will look at listings for various sources, including traditional search engines and multimedia engines, such as YouTube.

Each presenter will have 10-15 minutes to do their presentation, followed by a Q&A. Here’s a working outline of what I’ll be covering:

“Your Media Guests and Audience Are Your Best Social Network,” where I discuss tips and strategies on how to best leverage your podcast/video guests’ networks to get more exposure for your content. The other part will focus on making social sharing and outreach as easy as possible for your audience, so they will become impassioned promoters of your content.
