Earlier this month, I wrote a post for Search Engine Journal on how to find people to follow on Snapchat. Because Snapchat doesn’t currently offer this feature as a native option on their app (users can only search in their contacts), I searched for Snapchat member directories to add to my SEJ post.

Snapchat Member Directories

As a result of my searching, I also added my Snapchat username (wonderwall7) to the directories that I listed in the article:

Since I wrote the article at the end of April, I’ve been getting about 8-30 new Snapchat followers a day. My snap stories have went from 15 views to over 120 consistently, on every story snap I post. While I know that’s nothing compared to celebrities on Snapchat like Kim Kardashian, I’ve been surprised that just listing my username in the above directories has made such a difference. It has also been continuous growth as well, and hasn’t slowed down yet!

Cross Promotion

In addition to adding yourself (or your brand) on Snapchat, be sure to also mention your Snapchat username whenever you can. For instance, I just linked to my username above and have also posted my username on Twitter a few times. Some users have also used their unique snapcode as their Twitter profile photo so it’s easy to scan.

Snapchat is great platform and it’s so fun to use! See you on there!
