I’m happy to announce that I’ll be speaking at State of Search in Dallas, Texas this year! Ever since I went as press in 2014, I’ve wanted to go back. It’s a great conference and I’m excited to be part of it this year!
One of the best parts of my accepted pitch is that I made it about something really fun, timely, and also really relevant to marketers this year: Pokemon GO! I love the app and all the possibilities it has for local businesses and I’m excited to share my ideas with the State of Search audience.
Here was my pitch, which is subject to change, of course:
How Local Businesses Can Take Advantage of Pokemon GO and Social Media
Pokemon GO is arguably the biggest app to happen this year. Which is why we as marketers need to talk about it. The way your customers are using Pokemon GO and other social media apps (like Facebook, Snapchat, and even Instagram) to find and connect with local businesses is something not everyone is catching on to yet. Get specific examples, strategy, and ideas for building an ongoing campaign around these local-optimized social media apps that can provide huge exposure and foot traffic for your business.
I’m so excited about this presentation, I’ve already outlined it! It’s going to be really fun, and I hope to see you there! Use code speakerguest to get $50 off! 🙂
